A trip after the pandemic is expected by many people. The tourism sector was the hardest hit and unfortunately travel will be impacted for the years 2020 and until 2021, with the worsening of the fact that no vaccine for Coranavirus has been discovered so far. Many people have had to postpone or change the date of their trip.

Many airlines were left without scheduled flights, many cruises had to be interrupted, regardless of which country they were in and many hotels were forced to close, leaving many people unemployed. There were several other impacts suffered throughout this sector and which are still being felt firsthand, by those who work in it and by all its travelers.

This virus has turned the world upside down, also changing the future of tourists, in addition to the economy in countries, health, the way we live, work and consequently how we travel. It's not simple to answer the question of when it will be safe to travel, after going through this nightmare. We still do not know the extent or duration of this pandemic.

There is also no certainty about whether there will be flights or whether a hotel has been booked or whether the company that sold the packages will still exist or whether it will go bankrupt after all this is over. However, some countries may also be closed to connecting flights. Many agencies, to get around all this, are selling packages for the end of 2020 or 2021.

The consequences of this epidemic for tourism

Still talking about all the consequences that there will be and are happening to tourism with all this social isolation, which has occurred worldwide due to this disease, we can say that, over time, many airlines may close, as well as hotels, agencies that They are travel, hotels and inns that are found around the world.

Many already report that their profitability is reducing. We are referring to large companies in this sector, which are already estimating large losses, which are being compared to the first quarter of 2019, when this pandemic did not even dream of ravaging countries. However, in the coming months these losses may be estimated to be even greater, due to a lack of resources.

Many economists predict that there will be an economic recession worldwide, post-pandemic and this situation cannot yet be predicted in detail. The IMF, which stands for the International Monetary Fund, also predicts that the world economy could shrink at a rate that is the fastest in decades, increasing fears that it will be the worst recession since the 1930s.

Travel will definitely have a new meaning, after so long that we have been stuck inside our homes. The possibility of being in different places or enjoying a road on a car trip, while the wind hits your face, will be appreciated differently. Many travelers who were traveling alone or with others will choose to travel with their family.

Holidays that were spent at home will now be used to make a trip that is truly memorable. We don't know what the economy will be like during this reopening and the value of the real compared to the dollar, euro, pound and other foreign currencies. All countries will adopt preventive measures to prevent the spread of this virus.

Some predictions for a post-pandemic trip

The moment it is safe to travel again, many people believe and this will happen, that the changes for this trip will not be like before. The opening of borders that in some countries is already happening, other countries will not open until there is a medicine or a vaccine and will maintain their social isolation, as none of them allow a second wave of contamination.

There will also be greater inspection at airports, with body temperature meters without contact between people or a document that proves that this traveler does not have the Coronavirus in their body. It could be a type of vaccination certificate that is international, as is the case with yellow fever. Countries will have greater control over who enters their spaces.

Travelers from countries still experiencing an outbreak of this disease will be prevented from entering and this is already happening in some of them. Brazil is already a reality of prohibition for its residents to enter some countries, given all the uncertainty and the way the government is dealing with this situation, which is already known to many countries abroad.

Public hygiene will receive much more attention at the airport and inside planes. Many airlines were unable to operate during this pandemic. For a country to leave the list of restrictions for travel, it must follow certain parameters, which are the number of new infections, whether the virus is expanding or has already been controlled and combat policies, such as testing, screening and others. Preventive measures.

The reduction in these trips

In Europe, its closure is scheduled for September 2020 and at least for travelers from outside that continent. A trip after this pandemic will take a while to happen there. Many European countries are already opening their borders to some neighboring countries, which could be Italy, Ireland and Germany, just to name a few.

The government of each European country recommends that each citizen can avoid any non-essential travel outside the continent, as many countries are testing a way out of quarantine, making this prediction impossible and also due to many countries opening and closing so that recontamination is avoided, as happened in China, which was the epicenter of the new Coronavirus.

The year 2020 will only be for national travel and in the year 2021 or even later, depending on the entire cycle of this disease, international travel will be allowed, with some countries taking even longer, due to treatment. what was given to this disease and how it progressed. One thing is certain, these trips will happen again and will be completely different from how they were before.
