One of the most attractive destinations in the world to take a trip to is Israel. Culture, history and faith are intertwined. It is for those people who want to escape from common travel itineraries, in a country with unique characteristics, with modernity intersecting with traditions that have been described for millennia and in sacred books.

It is an unusual trip, full of emotion, with tourists coming across stories that are ancient, but which are still preserved today and for many people the region is called the Holy Land. It was only in 1948 that Israel began to be recognized as an independent country, with issues involving conflicts and which is always a point that can be raised.

Israel is located in the Middle East and on the edge of the Mediterranean Sea, living through more than 2000 years of history, which has always been marked by clashes, conquests and many territorial disputes. On the other hand, this trip is to a destination that will surprise its travelers and even more so those who want to go far beyond the religious itineraries on this beautiful trip.

Tel Aviv – Israel

How a traveler can get to Israel

First of all, the traveler should be aware of the long hours that will take place on a plane. However, for travelers from Brazil, few people know, there is only one flight that is direct to Israel, with the plane taking off from Guarulhos and direct to Tel Aviv. All other routes must pass through at least one stopover.

The most common route for a traveler leaving Brazil and with many flights to Israel is to Europe, through the main gateway for international flights at Ben Gurion International Airport, which is located in the city of Lydda. , in a distance that is only 20 km away, from the main financial center of that country, which is Tel Aviv.

Citizens from Brazil will not need a visa to visit Israel, but that country will require a Brazilian traveler to have a passport that is valid, but with at least six months of validity and counting from the date of entry to that country. When all travelers arrive at this destination, they must go through an immigration process.

The immigration that is found in this country and because it does not require a visa, means that it has a rigorous security system. To avoid any type of problem, the traveler must answer all questions clearly, without making any jokes in the immigration area and also carry all proof of travel, as well as travel and accommodation documents.

Garden of Gethsemane – Israel

Best time for this trip

Depending on the time of year a traveler is in Israel, they can experience a sunny day on the Mediterranean beach and a moment later they can also see a beautiful layer of snow that can cover Jerusalem, which is the capital of that country. For travelers who prefer days with milder temperatures, try to travel during spring and autumn.

During these seasons, the heat and cold are not extreme in any region of this destination. During summer, the days in Israel are much longer, with an average of 12 hours of sunshine. In winter, the sun remains in the sky for only 5 hours. We remember that, in the northern hemisphere, the seasons are opposite to our country, which is Brazil.

This means that like these seasons that are opposite to Brazil, in Israel summer is in the middle of the winter year and winter at the end. The driest period is from May to August, with no rainfall. From December to February there is a probability of rain ranging from 35% to 40%. The hottest months are from June to August and the coldest months are from December to February.

Go to the Garden and the Grotto of Gethsemane, which is one of the places visited by Jesus and where at the foot of the Mount of Olives, Jesus would have prayed shortly before being arrested, in a place that is occupied by olive trees and which are as old and as to stories that are biblical, in a garden that is next to this cave and where the disciples would have waited for Jesus while he prayed.

Visit the Arab Market in the Old City of Jerusalem, which is the Arab Souk and also known as Souk Khan Ez-Zheit, which can be walked along most of the streets that are from the Arab Quarter and which can be confused with the routes taken by pilgrims and between one station and another on the Via Sacra, but with the visitor passing by many little shops that sell everything.

Wall of Lamentations

A visit that excites all travelers is to visit the Western Wall or The Western Wall, which is seen as a constant ritual of prayer and in front of a large stone wall, which is located on Mount Moriá and known for the place where Abraham offered his son as a sacrifice to God.
