For those who have never been to Las Vegas, it is hard to believe that a city famous for large hotels and casinos can be affordable. However, the truth is that many hotels offer low prices, affordable restaurants and free entertainment to attract many potential players to the casino tables. But since Las Vegas is also the land of over-the-top glamour, the sky is the limit when it comes to spending money there! If you are on a budget, you can find helicopter rides, luxury suites, restaurants and lots and lots of circus shows, theater and music shows.

How to get tickets to Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is located in the state of Nevada, near the American west coast. Las Vegas International Airport – McCarran International Airport – is located just 4 km from the center of Las Vegas Boulevard, better known as the Strip. The trip from Brazil is long – at least 15 hours from São Paulo, and there are no direct flights to the city. Therefore, at least one connection is necessary. The best options are via Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Atlanta, New York, Miami, Charlotte and Panama City. All of them have a direct route to Las Vegas with flight times ranging from 2 to 6 hours from the connection. The cost of a flight to Las Vegas varies depending on the departure city, airline and time of year. On average, a flight to Las Vegas costs between R$2,500 and R$4,000.

Places to visit in Las Vegas

Despite all the luxury and glitz that surrounds it, Las Vegas is quite affordable for different travel budgets. There are many free attractions in the city, others at very affordable prices and some dedicated only to the wealthiest tourists. The truth is that it is possible to have many days of fun in Las Vegas without spending a dollar on attractions. Mainly because the Strip (Vegas' main street) is a huge event in itself and all the casinos are free to enter. There are also clubs, hotel attractions, entertainment streets and delightful corners of the city that are free to enter. The number of attractions you will visit per day depends a lot on your travel pace. Some can be seen very quickly, others can last several days.

We have selected some tourist attractions in the city of Las Vegas for you, check them out!

  • Strip

The starting point for all visitors is the Strip, the section of Las Vegas Boulevard where the world's most famous casinos are located. Amid millions of colorful lights, the large themed hotels are home to a variety of attractions. Trendy restaurants, concert halls, large shopping malls and many casinos keep tourists stuck in the complexes for many hours. It will take a few days to see them all, so prioritize the most attractive and famous ones, such as: Bellagio, Caesars Palace, Paris, Venetian, Palazzo, New York-New York, Planet Hollywood, MGM, Mirage, Wynn and Cosmopolitan. You will never feel like walking around is a repetitive walk. They all have unique and exclusive attractions. The Strip is home to the city's main tourist attractions. One of the most recent openings is the High Roller, the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. There are also other Vegas classics, such as the Bellagio fountains and the Eiffel Tower at the Paris Hotel.

  • Downtown

Be sure to stroll under the LED ceiling of Fremont Street and experience the Las Vegas vibe without the luxuries of the Strip. Nearby are the city’s non-touristy bars, ideal for those who want to experience the real Las Vegas. In addition to the vibrant nightlife, Downtown is home to two major museums: the MOB – Organized Crime Museum and the Neon Museum (home of the old Vegas neon signs) and a beautiful park of shops and restaurants, Container Park. Vegas nightlife is world-famous and it’s no wonder. It’s hard to find a city that offers so many options for shows and concerts. Best of all, you can buy tickets for the same day at prices that fit your budget! Who could possibly match seven different Cirque du Soleil shows in less than four miles? In addition to the shows, Vegas is a champion in bars and nightclubs. Just browse the hotels and choose your favorite spot. Be sure to rent a limo to make it even more fun.

  • Electronics stores

Computer, tablet, cell phone, MP3 player, camera, car stereo… When it comes to electronics, the list is endless and the limit is only the amount on your credit card (or the R$500 quota). Being in the US means you can buy these and other devices for up to a third of the price in Brazil. Some more, some less, but they will always be cheaper than in Brazilian countries. So don't feel guilty if you feel like visiting a specialty store. You will certainly find the product of your dreams at even more fantastic prices.
