Banhado Viewpoint


The Banhado Viewpoint is a structure from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and the mountains in the distance, with a large lawn. The name Banhado Viewpoint was given in the past during the floods of the Paraíba do Sul River, when the lawn observed was flooded and was even called Mar Joseense. Installed in the chapel of Nossa Senhora Aparecida and opened in 2007, the Museum of Sacred Art of São José dos Campos has a collection composed of paintings, vestments, liturgical objects, oratories, religious books, procession flags and several other pieces from the 18th to the 20th century and made by artists from the Paraíba Valley and region.
